Acanya Gel

Acanya gel is the newest combination product for acne that contains both clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. The other combination products that have these two active ingredients are Duac gel and Benzaclin gel. So what’s the difference? Well, the more veteran combo products contain benzoyl peroxide in a 5% strength, while Acanya Gel contains only 2.5%.

So is less more? Well, studies have shown that benzoyl peroxide tends to do a good job regardless of the strength and that higher doses may contribute to a higher risk of irritation.
